After the Flight:
Baggage Delivery: N/A, no bags checked
On the Ground:
We did check in online 5 days prior our departure date and we were traveling with hand luggage only.
We arrived 2 hours prior departure at the airport.
There was simply no queue at the Security Check and we were through in no time.
Edinburgh Airport has a super efficient Security Screening with all new scanners and
x-rays where you can leave everything in the bags. They even allow you now to bring up to 2 liters of liquids.
Staff was very friendly, efficient and helpful.
As we had a little more than an hour until indicated boarding time, we went to the
Plaza Premium Lounge Edinburgh with our Priority Pass.
The lounge looked brand new and was super modern and beautiful. It is very big in size with many different seating options and zones.
Food and drink selection was good. They have a hot buffet, a salad buffet and some snacks. Softdrinks and coffee/tea are self-serving and they have a served full bar for all alcohol drinks. A
very good lounge experience.
Staff at
the gate was okay. No announcements were done for boarding and the line for Speedy Boarding was massive as everyone buying the bigger hand luggage also gets speedy boarding.
At the
aircraft door we were greeted by the cabin manager and another cabin crew member. The crew was super friendly and present whilst boarding.
Inflight:
The seats are the regular slime line seats without recline. The legroom is okay for a short haul aircraft.
Announcement from the cockpit were okay, difficult to understand and the announcements from the cabin crew were good. Right speed, clear and understandable.
After take off, the crew started with the inflight service.
Service is against payment but EasyJet offers a great selection of drinks and food for a very reasonable price. Sandwiches for example are 6.25CHF which is half the price from Swiss.
As prices were more than okay, we decided to treat us with an ApΓ©rol Spritz.
After the F&B service the crew passed with duty free.
Also on this flight the EasyJet cabin crew was super welcoming and friendly.
Every single cabin crew member was friendly, helpful and interacted with the customers. They had a smile on their face and were going the extra mile.
They showed real passion for what they do.
The EasyJet Airbus A320 has no airplane inflight entertainment system.
The safety demonstration is done manually.
There is a magazine as well as the F&B brochure in the seat pocket.
There was no WiFi.
Summary:
All in all another very good flight with EasyJet. A nice and welcoming cabin crew, delicious and affordable food and definitely no, but absolutely no difference to legacy carries in Economy
nowadays.
After these two flights we can definitely recommend them.
