Back at this oasis for the third time and again, we were spoiled from head to toes.

A wonderfully beautiful and peaceful resort with absolutely fantastic staff who always go the extra mile for every guest.

Location & History:

The property is located in Pranburi, right on the Gulf of Thailand, in a very quiet and private coastal setting.

The resort was originally another brand (formerly a Six Senses Hideaway) and was converted and rebranded in 2013/4 under the Sheraton Hotels & Resorts brand.

Things to Keep in Mind:

Because of its secluded location, this is not for nightlife or party seekers. This property is a bliss for relaxation.

You’ll need to drive or arrange transport if you want more action. Around the hotel there are some restaurants and bars in walking vicinity and an nice beach promenade with typical and authentic Thai street food stalls.

The more action can be found in Hua Hin town. A ride with Grab/Uber costs around 280 to 320 baht per way and it takes around 15 minutes. Hua Hin offers everything touristy from night markets to restaurants.

Transfers: the closest airport is Hua Hin (about 19 km away). Private transfer or rental car is recommended.

Prices for pick up's at Bangkok Suvarnabuhmi Airport with a local company cost around 2500 baht per way and the drive is around 3,5 to 4 hours.

The Hotels has bicycles for its guests which make it easy to get around in the area or a 10 min ride to the local beach. This beach still has the charm and feeling of Thailand 20 years ago. Chairs can be rented for 30-40 baht per day and they serve you drinks and local food right by the beach.

If you do not want to ride a bike to the beach, the hotel offers a shuttle service with its own minibus.

Check-in:

We arrived at the Hotel around 6:00PM and we had an amazing check-in experience. Staff was waiting and ready for our arrival.

We were greeted at the curb side by the bell boys/concierges who took care of our luggage and were escorted to the front office desk.

The Villa Manager as well as the Guest Relations Managar were greeting and welcoming us back with open hearts. It was a big pleasure for us seeing them all again.

Check-in was done in a breeze and during the check-in process, we had a nice chat on how we all have been.

We were offered a nice welcome drink and cold towels as a welcome refreshment.

Once check-in was done, the guest relations Manager escorted us to the Villa and explained us everything.

Absolutely an amazing check-in, it felt like coming home and it was a great start for our stay.

Check-out:

Check-out was great too. We were checked out by the front office manager and she made sure everything was okay and asked for feedback about our stay. We actually felt sad already leaving the property.

Staff at the front desk was always super friendly and helpful and if they had the time they came over for a chat.

They were always smiling and greeting passing guests.

Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite Recognition:

Pre-Arrival:

The hotel did send out a pre arrival email asking about the arrival time and giving details about the property. The hotel also offered to arrange transportation from the airport to the property. Emails were answered swiftly.

About 1 week prior to arrival the hotel pre upgraded us to a bigger Villa with seaview which consisted of two single cottages (one bedroom and one with a separate living room) and a huge secluded outdoor area with private infinity pool.

Recognition at Check-in:

During check-in, the agent acknowledged our status. As breakfast was included in our rate, the hotel offered us the 1000 points or a big list of welcome gifts to choose from.

The Villa was prepared absolutely spotless and with a VIP treatment. We were actually speechless when we got to it. It was a simple wowww moment.

There was a beautiful plate with everything ready to prepare a nice welcome drink in the room. Some candies as a gift and a very nice note from the team.

An absolutely top recognition and an amazing welcome by the property.

Eligible nights and points:

The nights, revenue as well as the points posted 24 hours after our stay. Unfortunately the amount was not correct and hence the points as well as the revenue had to be corrected by the customer service team.

Concierge:

The concierge / bellboy team was super friendly and helpful. They gave us tips where to go and what to do and they were always there when we left the property and/or one of the first ones greeting us coming back.

Room / Suite:

The bigger Villa was absolutely stunning and the nicest we have ever had at this property and thanks to the first row location we even had seaview from the Villa, patio and and the infinity pool. Never the less it was super secluded and no one could see it. Absolute privacy guaranteed

The Villa including patio and private areas had a whopping 376 square meters!

It had a great atmosphere and felt pure luxury. The colors and furniture used as well as the decorated reflect fully a. Thai Villa style. Yes, the Villas aren't the newest or most modern, but the are in absolute great shape and very well maintained. The property is actually undergoing a a soft refresh.

One villa/building was a little bigger than the other one. This was our bedroom with a fantastic king-size bed, a huge couch, a massive shower, toilet and double vanity as well as a huge outdoor shower. There was also a huge outdoor bath tub right in front of the bedroom. The villas have a great atmosphere and you feel at home immediately.

The second room is actually a sort of living room with a massive couch (would be second bed) a desk, an own bathroom with shower, toilet and outdoor shower as well as a dining table.

The outdoor space is simply heaven, an own private retreat full of palm trees, a huge cabanna with couches and table, sunchairs and umbrella on the deck as well as a massive private infinity pool. This time the Villa had, as already described, sea view.

There are ponds everywhere and lots of green. You feel like being in the jungle.

We loved this property the last two times we were here and do it even more after this time.

The king size bed was amazing and super comfy. The mattress was top and so was the bedding. The duvet was super fluffy and the pillows were simply top and comfortable.

The air-condition worked perfectly fine in both Villas.

Bathroom:

The bathroom was simply great. Lots of space on the double vanity and the indoor shower was huge with a glass wall out in the green. There was also a massive outdoor shower if you preferred that one. The bathtub is outside as well and right in front of the bedroom.

Housekeeping:

Housekeeping did a fantastic great job. The room was cleaned properly and the bed was done astonishing perfect and impeccable.

The hotel also offers an impeccable turn-down service.

Housekeeping staff was super friendly and greeted every time you passed them somewhere on the property.

The room was super clean as were the public areas.

WiFi:

WiFi works perfectly fine throughout the entire hotel and the speed is also good. No issues to work or up/download any data.

F&B outlets/ Lounge:

Dahla:

Dahla is the breakfast restaurant of the Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas.

The breakfast buffet is very special at this property as it is in a separate room. It feels more like going on a market instead of going to a buffet.

There are different stations you can choose from. There is a bread and pastry station, fresh fruits and especially to mention a fresh salad station with local grown salad, dairy products, cereals, cold cuts. Warm Western dishes as well as a live egg cooking station.

Since last time they have increased the Asian food section and now offer a big hot buffet with Asian dishes, a soup station and in the weekend they even had a food stand from outside. Very well done and adding to the local experience.

The quality of food was excellent and everything was freshly prepared. Presentation is done beautifully.

The staff at breakfast was phenomenal. They did an absolutely amazing job, were super friendly and interacted with the customers and showed real passion for what they do. They went the extra mile and were always a step ahead of you. Simply phenomenal.

Luna La Pran:

Luna La Pran is the main restaurant of the property. It is open from 11AM to. 11PM.

It is next to the beach as well as to the big public hotel pool. It serves as the bar of the hotel as well.

We had several times lunch and dinner at Luna La Pran as well as several drinks.

The restaurant offers Thai food as well as international dishes.

The quality of the food at Luna La Pran was simply amazing. Everything super fresh and tasty.

Also here the staff was phenomenal. They did an amazing job, going above and beyond and delivered a great service. They were always super friendly, helpful and also took the time to interact with the customers.

Pool Bar / Events:

Luna La Pran also serves as the poolbar.

The hotel is very active in offering special or culinary events such as floating breakfast in your private pool, tea time in the afternoon, special private hot pot dinners on your terrace etc.

Executive Lounge:

No lounge.

Pool / Spa / Gym:

As every villa has a private pool, the communal pool of the hotel (with sea view) is almost empty all the time. The pool would be beautiful and we recommend not to lock yourself in all the time.

The gym is located next to the pool. It is not really big and offers a basic set of cardio machines as well as some weightlifting. It is open 24 hours.

The Spa Villa is a beautiful idea. It is a regular hotel Villa changed into a spa.

We had fantastic treatments every day and can definitely recommend it. It was a bliss.

Prices are very reasonable here at the spa with some special offers as well. The therapists were amazing and knew very well what they did.

Social Media:

Social media is okay. They do post things on Facebook and Instagram but no big interaction at all. They prefer to repost and publish video or reels but pictures and posts go unnoticed.

Summary:

An absolutely great stay at the Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas.

We will definitely come back!

Yes, the hardware isn't the newest one anymore but it is still in good shape and the hotel just started a refresh which is perfect.

Above all that, what counts more is the staff.

Staff is the biggest asset of this property. They are amazing and offer an exceptional customer service and go above and beyond.

The hotel is nestled in a green oasis and is the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

This hotel is a hidden pearl in the Marriott International portfolio and for us it is still in the top 5 properties worldwide.

We can highly recommend to stay at this property.
